Highlights of the CompetitionShizuoka International Opera Competition has attracted participants from around the world, including past winners of other leading global competitions. All participants are judged by a committee of leading international experts in our competition. Prizewinners of the previous competitions have been successful in the music felid.
A Member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions(WFIMC)Shizuoka International Opera Competition is Asia's only WFIMC member competition in the voice category. Structure of the CompetitionThe 1st RoundYoung opera singers around the world who have passed the preliminary audition will perform two operatic arias accompanied on the piano. The 2nd RoundEach of the finalists from the 1st Round will perform one or more pieces specified by the judges from the opera character chosen at the time of his or her application. Performances will be approximately 20 minutes in durations. This is an unusual approach to judging for an international competition. Pieces will be chosen for degree of difficulty and will enable evaluation not only vocal technique and expressiveness, but also performing experience. The FinalsThe finalists from the 2nd Round will perform accompanied by the orchestra under the baton of conductor. This approach will create a highly charged atmosphere, similar to what competitors would experience performing in a real opera. JuryThe competition's Judging Committee is chaired by topflight judges including famous opera singers and general directors. |
コンクールの見どころ・聴きどころ世界各国の声楽家や他の一流コンクールの上位入賞者からの多数の応募、そして厳しい審査基準により、大変ハイレベルな審査が行われます。過去の入賞者の現在の活躍も、当コンクールのレベルの高さを証明していると言えるでしょう。 国際音楽コンクール世界連盟（WFIMC）とは各コンクール活動との調和、入賞者の援助などを目的として1957年設立されました。本部はスイス・ジュネーブにあります。高いレベルの加盟基準があり、権威ある国際コンクールの多くが加盟しています。 コンクールでどんなことを競うのか？第1次予選予備審査を経て参加承認された世界の若手オペラ歌手が、得意なオペラアリア2曲を歌います。 第2次予選オペラの一役を自選し、全曲の中から指定された箇所を約20分間演奏して審査を受けます。これは世界でも数少ない審査方法で、出場者の発声技術や表現力はもとより、経験も問われる難度の高い内容となります。 本選厳しい第2次予選を勝ち抜いた出場者が、オーケストラ・ピットに入ったオーケストラの伴奏で審査を受けます。この審査方法により、本物のオペラの上演状況に近づいた、緊張感みなぎる演奏が繰り広げられます。 審査委員の顔ぶれ国際コンクールにふさわしく、世界各国の著名な声楽家や歌劇場芸術監督などが審査にあたります。 |
