Maho Ishino graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music, majoring in piano. She completed the Ensemble Diploma course of Toho Gakuen. Later, as a trainee from the Fondation Franco-Japonaise Sasakawa, she studied under Sabine Vatin at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris as a répétiteur. After returning to Japan, she has been active as a répétiteur and has been involved in opera performances at New National Theatre, Tokyo, BIWAKO HALL Center for the Performing Arts, Shiga, Nissay Theatre, and for the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation. In addition, she has earned credibility among many musicians, as an accompanying pianist mainly serving the vocalists. In recent years, she has been flourishing in multiple fields, such as being the pianist to premier the required repertoire of the The NHK All-Japan School Choir Competition, as well as the pianist of orchestras. Ishino is the pianist of the Nikikai Opera Institute and the NNT Opera Studio, the part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts, and the registered artist of Sony Music Foundation’s “Kodomo Classic” project.
