Lenore ROSENBERG

U.S.A.; Music Administrator of the Spoleto Festival USA

From 1985 until 2017, Lenore ROSENBERG was the Associate Artistic Administrator of the Metropolitan Opera, and for five years was also the Director of the Met’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. She joined the Met's artistic staff with a background in both the performance and production aspects of opera.  She has degrees in voice from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music (where she was also honored as a “distinguished alumna”). 
Ms. ROSENBERG, who was responsible for the casting of secondary roles and covers for the Met season, was a member of the in-House Auditions Screening Committee, as well as the Stage Audition Panel, and was a member of the National Council Finals Jury.  She was also the Music Administrator of the Spoleto Festival USA, in Charleston, South Carolina.
Among the international juries on which she has served are Elena Obraztsova Competition, the Beijing International Vocal Competition, the Queen Sonja Competition, and Cardiff Singer of the World.
In the spring of 2015, Ms. ROSENBERG was the recipient of the Gerda Lissner Foundation’s distinguished achievement award for her “outstanding achievement for the Metropolitan Opera and so many other foundations world wide”.
