The Shizuoka International Opera Competition has released a new poster for the 7th competition in 2014. This poster features a woodblock print of Mount Fuji by the Japanese artist Hokusai KATSUSHIKA (1760-1849), titled “South Wind, Clear Sky (also known as Red Fuji)”.

Mount Fuji has long been a symbol of Japan as well as Shizuoka, and now recognized by UNESCO as the World Heritage site.

Posters are distributed worldwide and help promote the Opera Competition.
