On July 17, a project to create a poster design for the competition has just begun with students from the Faculty of Design at Shizuoka University of Art and Culture.

This project is a competition-style initiative that conducts the entire process from proposal of a visual concept to its creation. The grand prize winning entry will be used as the official poster for the 10th Mt. Fuji International Opera Competition of Shizuoka, and will be widely used on the official website, program cover, various web advertisements, and in newspapers.

Mr. ITO Hiroto, the Grand Prize winner in the 9th Competition poster project, gave an lecture in the orientation. He shared with the students his experiences of working on the project, the difficulties he faced during the production, and the insights and learnings he gained from it, which were very valuable for the students.

This was the fourth poster in collaboration with Shizuoka University of Art and Culture since the 7th Competition poster project. The students' unique perspectives and sensitivities will be used to express the world of the opera in a new way. We hope you will take a interest in their creative challenges!
