Message
I studied the modern history of Japan and art management in graduate school, and I am currently conducting research on business administration and support for the arts in modern Japan after the Meiji era. In the field of museology, I am working on my research with an interest in the administration and operation necessary for the sustainable development of museums under the designated manager system.
I have worked in both the curatorial and management departments of museums, and have also been in charge of management and operation of cultural facilities of government agencies. I intend to share the knowledge I have gained from my experience working in these departments. It is my hope that students will learn not only the skills necessary to be a museum curator, but also the functions and roles necessary in today's museums, acquire practical knowledge, and go on to play an active role not only as curators of museums, but also in government agencies, cultural facilities, and companies related to culture and the arts.
